For those of you unfamiliar with the term, a Health Product Declaration, or HPD, is a tool for contractors, consumers and suppliers which provides a detailed accounting of the ingredients/contents of a product. Further, should any of the present ingredients have any tangible impact upon human health, then the HPD will contain all essential information on that matter.
The ultimate goal of an HPD is to promote transparency within the supply chain of all commercial floor products, commercial wall coverings, etc. The information which they contain, guaranteed to be accurate and all-inclusive, is how this goal shall be achieved. Every ingredient, and its impact to human health, is to be fully disclosed and ready for review by any and all who would consider using that particular product in any project. Many experts in the field agree that the information contained within a Health Product Declaration is more extensive, detailed, and reliable than that which is contained within a Material Safety Data Sheet, or MSDS, with which some of you might be more familiar.
Here at GreenSource Solutions, we are working diligently to prepare and assemble the appropriate HPD’s for all of our products.
